FIDE announced its first wave of administrative appointments on October 30, establishing a team to operate under a freshly restructured federation. The move follows President Timur Turlov's October 26 statement outlining a new organizational design that shifts day-to-day management to a Secretary General and supporting departments. The announcement represents the federation's initial step in staffing the reorganization with people tasked to execute its strategic direction.

Alina Dvoretskaya heads the administration as Secretary General, responsible for carrying out federation decisions and coordinating across departments. Her team brings varied expertise to the role. The group includes Marat Umutpayev handling legal matters, Nadezhda Kravchuk leading External Relations and Communications, Anton Zhuravlev overseeing Events, and Pavel Tregubov directing Sports.

Umutpayev brings international legal experience from Kazakhstan to ensure FIDE activities comply with federation regulations and navigates cross-border matters. Kravchuk has held growing roles within FIDE over time, though the federation did not specify her earlier positions. Zhuravlev's background centers on organizing major international chess competitions, with responsibility now for planning and coordination with tournament organizers.

Tregubov is the team's most recognized face among chess fans. He holds the grandmaster title and was the first winner of the European Individual Championship in 2000. He has served as co-founder of the Association of Chess Professionals and currently directs its tour. His administrative role covers competition regulations and cooperation with relevant FIDE bodies.

FIDE signaled this constitutes the first stage of assembly, combining existing staff with newly hired professionals. The federation is accepting applications for other administrative positions and promises additional announcements ahead. The announcement did not disclose reporting structures beyond the Secretary General, provide start dates, or identify who will fill remaining posts.
