Javokhir Sindarov has assessed his odds against Gukesh Dommaraju in the forthcoming FIDE World Championship as nearly even, giving himself just a 0.2% edge. The Uzbek grandmaster, currently ranked fourth in the world, pegged his chances at 50.1% compared to his challenger's 49.9%.

Sindarov earned his shot at the title by winning the FIDE Candidates Tournament. He will face defending champion Gukesh in Geneva, Switzerland, with the match scheduled to run from November 25 to December 15.

Before heading to the championship, Sindarov is competing in the Clutch Chess: Champions Showdown 2026 in Saint Louis, Missouri. The event serves as his final preparation before the World Championship match.
